Overview

The Field Auditor ensures that 42 North practices and providers are following all applicable federal and state regulations. The Field Auditor conducts regular practice inspections to ensure consistency, as well as provides necessary training and feedback where needed. The Field Auditor is responsible for securing licenses and/or completing registrations for compliance purposes (i.e. amalgam separators, radiation registrations, sedation permits, etc.).

Responsibilities

Practice Support

  • Quarterly planned and unplanned visits to review standards, processes, protocols, and inventory to ensure compliance.
    • Review visit and provide feedback
    • Provide training and assistance where needed
    • Compile report for documentation of visit to be sent to Director, Manager, and Regional Manager
  • Check handwritten logs during office visits for documentation
    • Monitor weekly spore testing for all offices via compliance percentage through Mesa.
    • Check Mesa site monthly and notify Manager, Director, and Regional Manager of a decline in compliance percentage.
  • Research and consult on products as related to compliance and provide alternatives as requested
    • Single-use items
    • Sterile vs. non-sterile packaging
    • Sterilization and storage recommendations
  • Provide compliance trainings and reviews to individuals or teams requesting/requiring additional assistance
  • Provide guidance in the event of exposure

Licensing and permits

  • Oversee preparation and application process for facility sedation permits and ensure timely and successful issuing
    • Facility permit- MA
      • Work with Director and providers offering sedation
      • Submit application
    • Individual permit in a facility- NH, ME, CT, NY
      • Work with provider applying and administering
    • Follow up with active permits to ensure compliance with record keeping and required equipment properly maintained
  • Tracking of important office dates and send reminders as needed
    • In-office: emergency training reminders, OSHA training, fire extinguisher inspection.
    • Submit/renew/schedule: x-ray calibration, flowmeter calibration, radiation registration, amalgam separator registration
  • Assist with any other renewals or permits as required by office

Administrative Support

  • Assist HR with licensure requirements
  • Assist Facilities team with storage, disposal, and registrations
  • Assist other teams as an additional perspective when visiting offices
  • Maintain documentation of all visits
  • Create checklists/forms and update existing checklists/forms as needed
  • Ensure necessary documentation in offices is recorded

  • Ability to travel in states with 42 North practices to conduct field visits
  • Dental industry and operational experience strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED
