Insurance Coordinator

The Insurance Coordinator within the Revenue Cycle Management Department oversees verification of patient eligibility and insurance benefits for practices supported by 42 North Dental.  This position works closely with department and practice team members to ensure accurate insurance plan information and patient eligibility for successful financial treatment planning and claim submission.  This position requires the candidate to complete tasks and responsibilities within set guidelines and deadlines.

42 North Dental is a rapidly growing dental service organization supporting over 80 locations in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York.

• Serve as a contact point for claims submission support for a region
• Maintain system insurance carriers and plans
• Verify Eligibility
• Attach insurance plans to patient accounts
• Support related help desk processes as needed
• Support batch claims processing functions
• Review and correct EDI Batch claim processing
• Verify and update patient account, provider and claim data for accuracy
• Review claims and follow up to ensure acceptance by insurance carriers
• Collaborate with all practice team members
• Support training and implementing new operating procedures and guidelines
• Create and maintain strong business relationships with practices and carriers
• Utilize practice management and third-party software to perform tasks electronically
• Other duties as required

• Customer service oriented
• Must be very proficient with data entry
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with ADA coding and dental insurance carrier benefit and claim processing
• Strong computer knowledge
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
