Overview

This is a Full-Time Orthodontic Manager role.

 

42 North Dental has been providing dental care in New England for over 40 years. 

 

The Orthodontic Manager is a critical role for the orthodontic traveling team. Their responsibilities include removing barriers to patient care, driving an exceptional patient experience, providing operational support and improvement to the workflow, and ensure patients begin treatment. During the initial examination, they partner with the Orthodontist to present information regarding available treatment options, as well as estimated insurance coverage and financing options. They are an example of leadership to their team and are responsible for the support and success of the ortho team to which they are assigned.

 

This role may be required traveling to multplie practices.

Responsibilities

  • Originate new business/treatment from same day consultation
  • Secure Phase I and Phase II of treatment in one bill, creating a win-win situation between the patient and Gentle Dental
  • Ensure the availability of the Orthodontist’s time for new consultation without scheduled delays
  • Take free records of patient to guarantee the treatment and give appointment for Case Presentation when the Orthodontist is busy or unavailable
  • Make sure the first consultation of a patient is always on time because it contributes to Patient’s satisfaction and the company’s growth margin
  • Strive to get the lowest cost of orthodontic supplies for each of the six-offices
  • Responsible for training new hires how to use our computer systems: VistaDent software for digital photographs, CS SoftDent, QSIDental for digital notes, Kodak Computer Radiography (CR) System for digital X-Rays, and Rx Wizard for streamlining prescriptions from our offices to the orthodontic laboratory
  • Training of the four-handed dentistry technique
  • Encourage assistants to be dependable, knowledgeable and on time to work
  • Facilitate between assistants and patients as necessary, including providing conflict mediation and providing hands-on support in Ortho rooms
  • Ensure patient reminders are confirmed two days prior to their arrival
  • Ensure contracts are prepared and completed before treatment starts and records are paid
  • Encourage Front Desk Coordinators to call patients who have had prior consults with the office and schedule a second free consultation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in the orthodontic field
  • Experience with problem solving
  • Management experience
