CASH ACCOUNTANT         HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF WALTHAM, MA

$45,000 to $55,000 per year.

Our finance department is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a Cash Accountant to join the financial reporting team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the role will work closely with operations, centralized Accounts Receivable (AR) and other finance functions.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Download and save monthly bank statements;
• Create monthly journal entries for bank and credit card fees, incoming deposits and outgoing payments;
• Reconcile collections posted in the practice management system (PMS) and prepare upload entries;
• Reconcile bank statements in a timely and accurately manner;
• Compile and review collections related samples in conjunction with the year-end audit;
• Follow-up with operations and centralized AR team on variances between bank statements and amounts posted in the PMS;
• Collaborate with the finance team in streamlining the bank reconciliations process.

Education/Certification: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance;
• 2+ years of relevant experience;

Required Knowledge: 

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel – must have.
• NetSuite experience is an asset.
• Self-starter with a keen attention to detail.
