HR Onboarding Coordinator - Hybrid

Responsibilities

 

The role of the Onboarding Coordinator is critical to building a positive experience for our new employees.  The primary focus is to ensure each new employee starts their journey with 42 North in an engaged and prepared fashion.   You will be the main point of contact for all inquiries regarding new and returning 42 North Dental employees and act as the lead in ensuring the onboarding process is timely, efficient and effective.  Critical to the success of the Onboarding Coordinator is to demonstrate excellent communication skills and ensure all new hires and rehires have an optimal onboarding experience.  Specific responsibilities include:  

  • Ensure the timely completion of electronic onboarding paperwork for all new hires and rehires using ADP Workforce Now.  Respond to onboarding inquiries and provide new hires with technical assistance, if needed, escalating issues to ADP when appropriate  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and provide timely updates on the onboarding status of their new employees 
  • Initiate background checks and escalate any “hits” to the appropriate HR Partner for resolution 
  • Manage and close new hire tickets in 42 North Dental’s help desk ticketing system 
  • Create on-line HR files for all new hires and ensure appropriate documents are saved in the respective file.  
  • Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions on how to make the onboarding process more efficient 

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent College Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred 
  • At least 2 years of experience as an onboarding specialist or in an administrative role involving a high level of interaction and great attention to detail 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills a must as is the ability to multitask and meet deadlines 
  • Strong PC skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS system strongly preferred 
  • The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information required
