We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead and execute our affiliation strategy across New England. This individual will be a key driver of our growth, responsible for identifying, sourcing, and cultivating relationships with dental practice owners who are ideal candidates for affiliation with 42 North Dental. The ideal candidate will have strong ties within the dental community, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to build and execute a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing and development of new practice affiliation opportunities throughout New England 
  • Build and leverage a strong network of dentists, dental industry professionals, advisors, and influencers to expand market presence 
  • Partner closely with the Chief Development Officer and executive leadership to evaluate potential acquisitions and structure deals 
  • Oversee strategic outreach initiatives—including warm introductions, direct sourcing, campaigns, and events—to build a high-quality pipeline 
  • Represent 42 North Dental at industry conferences, dental events, and networking opportunities 
  • Track and report on key pipeline metrics and progress toward growth targets 
  • Develop creative strategies and marketing collateral to support business development efforts 
  • Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, regional market conditions, and competitive landscape 

 

We are looking for a dynamic and well-connected professional with deep industry insight and the ability to navigate complex relationships with empathy and influence. 

 

  • Preferred Background Includes: 

    • Dental supply or equipment sales representative with long-standing provider relationships or previous experience in a Business Development role at a DSO in New England or the surrounding area.  
    • Strong familiarity with the DSO landscape and private practice market in New England 

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in corporate development, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the dental or multi-site healthcare industry 
  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships or acquisitions 
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
